Introduction to Opioid Use and Misuse

The United States has seen a large increase in opioid addiction and overdoses in the last 20 years. This home study reviews the origins of the opioid epidemic, information on the clinical uses and misuses of opioids, recommendations when encountering patients who may be misusing opioids and the relationship of opioid misuse to suicide.
