Professional Bio

Now partially retired, Dr. Brownsberger has served as a rehabilitation neuropsychologist and as a director of psychology for a large physical medicine and rehabilitation organization. As part of her professional training, she completed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher training as well as training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Over the years, she has taught mindfulness to patients, colleagues, and larger organizational groups. One of her primary areas of interest is using mindfulness-based modalities to improve resilience and to reduce burnout and compassion fatigue. Dr. Brownsberger currently serves individuals living with brain injury or cancer for local and national non-profit organizations; she is also on the advisory team for the LoveYourBrain Foundation, and on the board of the Bucks County Center for Independent Living.
