Dr. Deguire grew up in New Jersey, and attended Tufts University, Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa. After earning her doctorate at Widener University, she worked in a variety of settings, including rehabilitation hospitals, general mental health clinics, and private practice. She has maintained an active private practice since 2000. In addition to her practice, Dr. Deguire is an author and an international speaker.
