BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY (For more details, please visit my website.)
~ I've practiced psychology for over 30 years, working with clients across the lifespan, after practicing law for a decade. I served as Program Director of Eating Disorders at Belmont Hospital, Clinical Director of a residential facility for mental ill young adults, and consultant to Philadelphia's Family Court. My faculty appointments included Temple University School of Medicine and PCOM.
~ I received my PhD from the University of Toledo, my JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and BA from the University of Pennsylvania. I am licensed in Pennsylvania and upon request, I can reactivate licensure in Virginia, Michigan, and the District of Columbia.

SERVICES:
If you're considering psychotherapy, couples counseling, or parenting help, we'll agree on a treatment plan AFTER we've determined your specific psychological needs. Expert diagnosis and decisions about your best options are individualized, not based on pop-psychology checklists, algorithms, & buzzwords trending on social media. Similarly, your psychotherapy will be personalized, not derived from manuals that dictate a standardized approach.
~ Clinical Services for individuals & couples of all ages: evaluation & differential diagnosis; psychotherapy; coaching for self-advocacy & other skills.
~ Mental Health Professionals: consultation & supervision; 2nd opinions.
~ Forensic Services: evaluations; record review; & expert testimony in civil and criminal proceedings.
~ Organizational services: individual consultation and customized workshops to improve interactions with clients or colleagues.
~ Pro bono workshops on how to use self-advocacy to cope with antisemitic remarks; for more info, visit my website page https://jweinbergjdphd.com/coping-with-antisemitism.
