Professional Bio
My extensive background includes leadership roles such as Coordinator of Campus Alcohol and Substance Awareness at Temple University, Assistant Director of Health and Counseling at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and positions at Drexel, Penn, and Jefferson Universities.
While I serve as an approved clinical provider for organizations like Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers and the NBA/NBPA, my core passion is helping individuals reduce addictive behavior and empowering therapists who share that goal. My life is a testament to trading compulsive behaviors for healthy pursuits like soccer, swimming, and gardening—an embrace of positive addictions, structure, and social support.
Raised in a family of therapists (my father is a psychiatrist and my mother a social worker), I believe in long-term commitment to helping others. In my sessions, I emphasize a client-led approach, trusting that when you steer, we naturally arrive at what matters most, whether it's discussing your past, setting future goals, or processing a recent event.
My practice is integrative and eclectic, prioritizing what works for the client, including scientifically tested, evidence-based approaches. Ultimately, my goal is to help you find purpose and connection in your life and closest relationships, believing that honest connection is the key to lasting change. I live in Philadelphia with my wife and two children, and I plan to continue helping folks well into my 80s.
