  • Pending Legislation and Policy Updates

  • Annual Advocacy Day
    Each year, PPA hosts Advocacy Day, where psychologists and advocates meet with legislators to promote policies that support mental health and psychology’s role in public well-being. Join us to make a difference and connect directly with policymakers.

  • APA Legislative Center
    In collaboration with the American Psychological Association (APA), PPA connects you to federal advocacy resources. Access the APA Legislative Center to participate in nationwide campaigns and track issues that impact mental health and psychology.

Get Involved: Join the Legislative & Governmental Affairs Committee

The Legislative & Governmental Affairs Committee helps PPA review and prioritize legislation that impacts psychology and mental health services in Pennsylvania. This committee:

  • Evaluates and ranks proposed legislation
  • Develops partnerships with state agencies in health, education, and human services
  • Represents diverse psychological interests within the association
