Ethical Decision-Making A Principle-Based Approach

This home study continuing education program is not just about theory but practical application. It delves into principle-based decision-making and provides hands-on guidance on applying these principles in real-world situations. It equips participants with the skills to navigate ethical decision-making, considering cognitive factors, emotional dynamics, and interpersonal processes. The program also offers specific examples to help psychologists apply these skills.

This program qualifies as the ethics requirement as mandated by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology.

Program Learning Objectives: At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe principle-based ethics and its decision-making process.
  2. Describe System I and System II decision-making.
  3. Explain how the APA Ethics Code balances ethical principles
  4. Explain how emotions, thinking patterns, and interpersonal processes influence decision-making.
  5. Apply principle-based decision-making in specific situations.

CREDITS OFFERED: 3 Continuing Education Credits for psychologists and educators. (75% score or higher required)
