Maintaining a Professional and Therapeutic Telepresence when Conducting Distanced Psychotherapy
Two (2) Home Study Continuing Education Credits (70% score or higher required)
Following the global outbreak of COVID-19, companies, schools, and healthcare providers raced to increase, or in some cases start to offer for the first time, services through virtual platform. While this change may come easy to some healthcare providers, adapting an in-person therapeutic environment to an online presence has its challenges. This workshop will focus on the challenges behavioral health providers face in recreating a psychologically healthy and healing space through distanced psychotherapy. Additionally, recommendations will be offered to assist psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers in establishing an online professional appearance (telepresence) that will mimic in-person sessions and maintain a collaborative and recovery-oriented relationship.
CREDITS OFFERED: 2 Continuing Education Credits for psychologists and educators.
