 17th Annual PPF Ethics Workshop

"Ethical Practice with Clients Who Act Badly and Disgust Us"

Presented by: Robert M Gordon, PhD, ABPP and Alan C. Tjeltveit, PhD

This workshop will help you identify the ethical issues that are present when clients behave in ways that violate our moral sensibilities and may disgust us but for which there is neither legal responsibility to divulge the wrongdoing to a third party nor legal permission to do so. It will help you identify the self-reflection that is necessary in such cases, including moral self – awareness and insight into counter-transference issues, and the clinical assessment and intervention approaches necessary for effective work with such clients, optimally, ethical approaches, and areas of theoretical assumptions that might be helpful to dealing with such cases. This program qualifies for three contact hours for the ethics requirement as mandated by the Pennsylvania Board of Psychology.

100% of the proceeds will go to the Pennsylvania Psychological Foundation
