For the PPA2015 registrant who plans to attend the entire convention and wants the easiest way to do so! This all-inclusive rate means that you don't have to pay for each ticketed event individually, you get a discount for doing so, and you get a full, complimentary breakfast on Friday morning! This rate includes:

  • All four conference days
  • All ticketed events, including: Give Back Luncheon, Exhibitor Wine & Cheese Reception, PPA Annual Banquet & Awards Dinner, Psychology in Pennsylvania Luncheon, ECP Reception, and Special VIP Breakfast
  • 10% discount over paying for these events individually

Location and Lodging

PPA2015 will be held Wednesday, June 17 through Saturday, June 20, at the Hilton Harrisburg.


If you need to make a room reservation, please call the hotel directly at 1-800-HILTONS or 717-233-6000  and mention that you are attending the Pennsylvania Psychological Association’s convention (PPA2015). Group room rates are $142/single or double (plus tax). Reservations must be made by May 20 to obtain the group rate. If the room block is sold out before May 20, reservations will be accepted on a space availability basis only, and the rate you are charged may be higher.

 Cancellation Policy

Workshop registration cancellations made MORE THAN 72 HOURS before the workshop will result in a 50% refund. All requests must be made in writing to Iva Brimmer, Business Manager, PPA, 416 Forster Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102 (telephone 717.232.3817; fax 717.232.7294; or Cancellations made LESS THAN 72 HOURS before the workshop will NOT be refunded.

 Special Needs

The Pennsylvania Psychological Association is committed to providing access and support to persons with special needs who wish to participate in the programs we sponsor. Persons with disabilities and special needs are encouraged to contact PPA at 717.232.3817, no less than three weeks before the conference, for further information.


Continuing Education Credits


PPA2015 Annual Convention is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Psychological Association.


Credits Offered: 

Workshops that qualify for the ethics requirement as mandated by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology are noted in the workshop descriptions. Certificates of Completion will be available online to participants who attend the entire workshop and complete the evaluation form. Partial credits will not be given.


IMPORTANT REMINDER! A participant may arrive no more than 10 minutes late nor leave more than 10 minutes early to receive credit for a program. Please arrive early to register!


APA: The Pennsylvania Psychological Association is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. PPA maintains responsibility for the program and its content.


Act 48: The Pennsylvania Psychological Association is an approved provider for Act 48 Continuing Professional Education Requirements as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Certificates will be available to all School Psychologists following the conference. Non-PPA members must pay an additional $10 for this service. If you need Act 48 credits, please include your Professional Personnel ID number on the registration form.


Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors in Pennsylvania can receive continuing education from continuing education providers approved by the American Psychological Association. Since the Pennsylvania Psychological Association is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education, licensed social workers, licensed clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists, and licensed professional counselors will be able to fulfill their continuing education requirement by attending PPA continuing education programs.

 Program Categories

Participants need no prior knowledge of your specific topic or content to participate fully and effectively in the program. The information you are presenting or the skills you are teaching will be unfamiliar to those enrolled although they will be practicing mental health providers or active teachers/researchers.

Intermediate: Participants should have some basic knowledge of the specific content you will cover, but need not have in-depth knowledge or skills. The program will provide information at a level beyond the basic knowledge of the topic.


Advanced: To participate fully, those enrolled must possess a substantial working knowledge or skill level in your specific content area. Generally, the knowledge or skill involved is currently used by the participant in his/her job. At this level, advanced techniques or knowledge would be offered to refine and expand current expertise.
