As we head into the end of the 2015-2017 License Renewal Cycle, we know that our members are looking for ways to earn credit to meet the CE requirement, especially the ethics requirement. We're here to help! Join us at the PPA office - 5925 Stevenson Avenue, Suite H, Harrisburg, PA 17112 - for any two of the following programs, to earn and meet the ethics requirement.

When to Ethically Break Confidentiality

Date: November 17, 2017

Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 pm

Location: PPA

Workshop Summary: State and federal laws concerning confidentiality can be complex at times. This workshop will review state and federal laws concerning confidentiality and discuss when psychologists can ethically break a patient’s confidentiality. There will be opportunities for participant interaction.

Program Learning Objectives: At the end of the workshop the participants will be able to:

  1. Describe Pennsylvania laws dealing with confidentiality

  2. Describe when it is appropriate to break a patient’s confidentiality; and

  3. Describe how to effectively break confidentiality with minimal risk of harm to the patient
