Legislative Advocacy 2010


LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this home study program, the participants will be able to understand the:

1. Legislative initiatives at the state level including concussion management legislation, insanity legislation, and problem solving court legislation; and

2. Legislative process and bodies of government.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This home study continuing education program will brief you on current legislative issues of importance to psychologists on the state level and relay tips on the legislative process. Issues to be addressed will include: insanity legislation concussion management legislation, and problem solving courts legislation.

PROGRAM JUSTIFICATION

We are not training people on how to evaluate head concussion, we are just explaining the legislation that would allow athletes to be evaluated by psychologists.
