The PPA Leadership has selected Monday, April 4, 2016, as our Annual Advocacy Day this year. PPA members are urged to attend. It will again be in the Capitol Building in Harrisburg. The schedule and agenda will be posted soon. This is your chance to influence the process of deciding aspects of how psychology is practiced in Pennsylvania. No room for social loafers here!
PPA staff will brief participants on current legislative issues of importance to psychologist on the state level, specifically SB 772 (Psychology Practice Modernization Bill) and HB 706 (Telehealth Payment Authorization bill) and relay tips on the legislative process. In addition, PPA staff will highlight current federal legislation, HR 2646 (Helping Families in MH Crisis Act) and HR 4277 (Medicare MH Access Act) bill that impact the practice of psychology on the national level.
Please note that those who attend the advocacy training session will receive 1.5 CE credits.
Registration from 8:45 AM to 9:15 AM
Training session from 9:15 AM to 10:45 AM
After the training session, you will be asked to visit with your legislators to discuss these issues. PPA will work to set up these legislative visits for you.
