The purpose of the Association shall be to advance psychology in Pennsylvania as a means of promoting human welfare.
It carries out this mission through activities that educate and support the professional development of our members, that educate the public through disseminating and applying psychological knowledge, that maintain and build organizational strength, and that advocate vigorously for public access to psychological services.
Examples of these activities include:
advocacy at all levels of state government for legislation and regulations that increase the public's access to psychological services
continuing education events to enhance psychologists' knowledge base
a monthly newsletter/magazine, the Pennsylvania Psychologist
consultation available to PPA members and the public on questions pertaining to the practice of psychology, including ethical, legal, insurance, and other issues
