PhD in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University, Derner Institute for Advanced Psychological Studies, 1994. Fulfilled APA-approved Internship at the Brooklyn Veterans Administration Medical Center. Served as Assistant Professor, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York while employed as a staff psychologist at Queens Medical Center. In full-time private practice since 2001.
Member of American Psychological Association (APA), New York State Psychological Association (NYSPA), Florida Psychological Association (FLAPSY), EMDR International Association, Psychologists for Social Responsibility, International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD) for whom I am a Fellow and Faculty Member, and coauthored the course curriculum for the Standard Course of the ISSTD Trauma Treatment Program.
I have been in private practice for over 20 years, and in 2016 I moved my practice from Manhattan to East Stroudsburg, PA.. Because I am also licensed in New York and Florida, I am able to provide distance services to persons in all three states via secure video platforms and telephone. In addition to providing talk therapy to people needing to explore past and current issues, my expertise and experience treating OCD as well as the aftereffects of trauma enable me to work well with individuals who need talk therapy as well as medication. I collaborate, with patient authorization of course, with referring psychiatrists and primary care physicians towards the well-being of my patients.
