More Information
I am a licensed psychologist specializing in prevention, treatment and ongoing recovery of anxiety, depression, problems with food (too much/too little), obsessions, compulsions and other situations that cause discomfort in daily living. I can help you manage these problems along with the stress associated with them. I use many techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but my approach is eclectic depending on individual needs and client's goals for treatment. My focus is on alleviating symptoms in the short term and improving quality of life overall.

CBT is a research-based collaborative approach shown to be very effective for a wide range of problems. With CBT clients learn to identify thinking that causes unwanted feelings and behaviors, weaken connections between stressors and habitual reactions, and use specific skills to solve the problems that brought them to therapy.

I am also trained in psychodynamic psychotherapies which means we can talk about your past and interpersonal relationships too. My office is located on Rittenhouse Square, between 18th and 19th on Walnut. I do not accept insurance but do provide monthly receipts for your potential reimbursement. Please call for a confidential consultation.
