Education/Experience
Dr. Piersaint obtained her doctorate in Counseling Psychology (PsyD), she is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). Her academic achievements include earning her B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Women’s Studies, as well as a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a postgraduate certificate in Health Care Administration and Management.
Social/Volunteer Organizations
Dr. Piersaint is the Founder/Director of L’Union Fait La Force – Haiti in Pittsburgh, is an active board member of the Immigrant & Internationals Advisory Board at the Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS), primarily focusing on the mental health need and access to culturally and linguistically appropriate services to immigrants and refugees. As part of her membership, she has worked with board members on creating the Pittsburgh “Community Blueprint”, has advocated for support to local interpreters to address vicarious trauma, psychoeducation to the immigrant population, to name a few.
