Extensive drug and alcohol treatment experience: For more than 13 years, was director of federal 130 bed researched drug program that was found cost-effective and treatment-effective by an independent NIDA study. Worked inpatient psych and D&A treatment centers for many years prior to that. Subsequently, worked as out patient therapist for 30+ years. Trained in various treatment modalities including crisis and disaster services, personality assessment, Axis II disorders specialist. Trained in biofeedback and behavioral medicine treatments.
Served 7 years as Disaster Services Instructor for the Union County American Red Cross including: Working shelters for local floods, and as instructor for those deploying to Katrina service and other major disasters. Active for gratis services for past 20 years for many disaster services victims. Served as PTSD and other disorder screenings for Veterans Administration (via LHI.) Other community educational and services provided.

He has more than 30 years experience in addictions treatment and general clinical practice. General practice treatment modalities include traditional psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback, hypnosis, and structural family therapy. Dr. Findlay treats clients of all ages and works with individuals, couples and families, and groups.
