Early Career Psychologists

The Early Career Psychologist Committee (ECP) was established to foster growth and leadership in ECPs in Pennsylvania. An ECP is defined by PPA as those who are within the first seven (7) years of receipt of their doctorate or a School Psychologist designation.

The ECPs comprise a talented and energetic segment of the profession, and they are the future of Psychology.

Since its formation, the ECP committee has undertaken some very important initiatives; the establishment of an ECP Listserv, the contribution of articles in the PA Psychologist, and, co-sponsorship of the PPA ECP and Student Networking Reception at the Annual Convention.

Current projects include the development of the PPA Early Career Mentoring Program, an ECP Blog, as well as various outreach and networking opportunities.
