2012 PPA ANNUAL CONVENTION
June 20-23, 2012
Hilton Harrisburg
Moving Forward with the Basics
Advocacy, Public Education and Volunteerism
When we pull together to increase the strength, service, and value of PPA, we all gain by ensuring that psychology continues to be the premier mental health-care profession. We have exciting goals to accomplish together: to advocate for more access to our services through a carefully planned legislative agenda; to serve the public through education about mental health and what psychologists have to offer; to promote healthy lifestyles for us all, including addressing the increasing problem of obesity; and increasing volunteerism and thus the richness of PPA. We encourage you to submit proposals around these themes. The 2012 Annual Convention is an opportunity for you to take a step forward in creating a psychologically healthy future for our profession, our communities, our clients, and ourselves.
PPA’s four-day Annual Convention not only includes an exciting lineup of guest speakers, workshops, research poster sessions, exhibitors, and social events, it is an excellent time to connect with colleagues and friends and learn the latest psychological knowledge in addition to the initiatives designed to enhance psychology as a discipline and profession in Pennsylvania.
