LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of this program, the participants will be able to
describe or identify:
1. The ethical foundations of professional psychology;
2. The mechanisms used to regulate professional psychology;
and
3. Ways to reduce practice risks and to focus on high ethical
conduct.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This online CE program contains 16 articles primarily from the
Pennsylvania Psychologist, concerning the foundations
of ethical practice. These articles review information concerning
major ethical theories and their relationship to the ethical standards
of psychologists, the regulatory mechanisms governing professional
psychology, and important risk management principles. Emphasis
will be on how psychologists can use ethics to improve the overall
quality of their work, as opposed to just minimizing their risks.
CREDITS OFFERED: 6 CE Credits for
psychologists and educators. This online program qualifies for
the ethics requirement as mandated by the Pennsylvania State Board
of Psychology.
