1. The ethical foundations of professional psychology;
2. The mechanisms used to regulate professional psychology; and
3. Ways to reduce practice risks and to focus on high ethical conduct.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This online CE program contains 16 articles primarily from the Pennsylvania Psychologist, concerning the foundations of ethical practice. These articles review information concerning major ethical theories and their relationship to the ethical standards of psychologists, the regulatory mechanisms governing professional psychology, and important risk management principles. Emphasis will be on how psychologists can use ethics to improve the overall quality of their work, as opposed to just minimizing their risks.

CREDITS OFFERED: 6 CE Credits for psychologists and educators. This online program qualifies for the ethics requirement as mandated by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology.
