"What Your Mother Never Told
You About Private Practice"

The Pennsylvania Psychological Association of Graduate Students
(PPAGS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Richard Johnson, Founder,
Co-Director, and Chief Executive Officer of the Psychological
Services & Human Development Center, Inc., a multi-disciplinary
group practice located in Fort Washington, will present a workshop
entitled, "What Your Mother Never Told You About
Private Practice," on Saturday, November 3, 2007.
The workshop will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
at the Philadelphia Health Management Corporation, 260 South Broad
Street, 18th floor, in Philadelphia. Registration will
begin at 9:30 a.m. This workshop is FREE for all PPAGS members.
In this workshop, Dr. Johnson will provide participants with
information and strategies regarding the development of a diversified
practice and client base, how to structure a practice so it is
more responsive to patient needs, how to develop skills and create
a practice for a “niche” market, and the future of
private practice. Also included among these topics, Dr. Johnson
will address emerging models of therapy such as e-therapy and
the advent of psychologists as pharmacologists. Time for group
discussion as well as a question and answer period will be provided.
PPAGS also encourages interested psychologists to attend this
workshop. Not only would you be able to learn more about this
interesting topic, but you will also have the opportunity to interact
with graduate students.
